Peggy Mintun has been reading cards for others for more than 35 years after she was gifted a tarot deck from her nephew at Christmas. She had already been curious about the occult, but this lead to exploring the art of divination. In 2019 she decided to make tarot reading a business, and created The Hermit Oracle. New Years Eve 2020 was her first party, but she found she could not see certain events unfolding that people asked about, like trips abroad. A few months later, we were in lock down.
This setback was not a stopping point, though, so when people were able to party again, THO was at Witchlab's Dionysus celebration in October 2021. Since that time THO has been at several events reading cards for the public. In 2024 she became a shop reader at both The Magical Druid and Witchlab. Being in a shop helped her solidify the fact that she wanted to develop THO into more. That's how RavenSong came into being. RavenSong has a focus on self-care, empowerment, and healing using energy and witchcraft
My Story
After being in a corporate setting working for Chase and other banks for years, I eventually was driven to develop my design skills in adult learning. Certified and educated in graphic and instructional design, I made a career out of that for a few decades. Then in February of 2024 I was severed from my position after 18 years. I decided to take my time getting back into the workforce. With the introduction of AI and the changing landscape, I decided to strike out on my own. In January of 2025 I formed MintTree Creative LLC. This was to do design work and marketing for small businesses, but it was undeniable that I need a bigger break from that kind of design work. Now MintTree Creative LLC is for self-publishing, The Hermit Oracle is the product line, and RavenSong is the shop with readers and reiki.
When I am not working I am enjoying life with my husband, friends, and five cats. I'm an OD member of Columbus Occult Society and participate in their events. I'm a board member for Greenfrog Studios, an arts organization in PA.
